Body/Mind

“Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open.”       ~B.K.S. Iyengar

Often the best way make progress is to slow down and take some time to care for yourself. We have a tendancy to go and go as we strive to accomplish and do all we long to get done. To move forward in life, and do it well, we may need to retreat first. A retreat is a strategic withdrawal, taking time to retire from the hustle and bustle and meet your own needs for renewal.

When we let go of trying to achieve, we become open to receive. We can let ourselves release and pour out all that no longer serves us, making room for the fresh and new. Refreshed, we can see from a more clear perspective and connect to our inner wisdom.

  • What ways can you retreat daily?
  • Weekly?
  • Monthly?
  • Yearly?

Here is a Ted talk, by ‘Blissologist’ Eoin Finn about ‘hammock yoga’. I love this groovy guy!
