There are many ways to bring balance to the Solar Plexus chakra. Here are some suggestions:
Sunshine: Fire is the element of the third chakra, signifying transformation. Inner fire helps you transform your life and your world. Connect with the fire element, get outside and feel the sun on your face and skin. Or sit quietly and watch the sunrise.
Incorporate the color yellow: Wear yellow clothing or stones (listed under crystals near bottom of page). Use yellow in your decor in the home or office. Display a bouquet of sunflowers or other yellow flowers. Eat yellow foods (list below).
Intake: Eat plenty of fiber and drink water for digestive health. Try detoxification programs to clean out your system. Try lemon and chamomile teas or essential oils (those labled: safe to ingest). Both lemon and chamomile are known for their digestive properties. Eat yellow foods; lemons, squash, yellow peppers, bananas, corn, pineapple, or grapefruit.
Exercise your mind: Take classes, research a subject that you find interesting, read informative books, try mind and memory puzzles or games, or take up a new hobby.
Thoughts: Consciously work on changing any negative internal dialogue. Make an effort to notice the positive things about yourself and your circumstances. A situation may not seem optimal but you can always focus on what you are learning from it. Training yourself to notice the positives is the first step towards reducing negative thought patterns.
Belly laugh: Allow yourself to let go and laugh hard! Deep laughter comes from the core, the Solar Plexus area.

- Take charge in following through with your goals. Create desired changes.
- Take risks, venture into something new.
- Try speaking in public or taking a leadership role. Feel empowered
- Develop your own unique sense of self and direction in life. Take action.
- Celebrate your achievements and successes, no matter how small.
- Believe in yourself to make your own choices. Trust your intuition.
- Start up a social group, a hobby get-together, or a volunteer group.
- Teach someone a skill.

Put your hands together above the navel, the solar plexus area. Join fingers at the tops, all pointing away from you. Cross your thumbs. Fingers are kept straight. Concentrate on the Solar Plexus area. You can also try chanting RAM, the seed sound of the solar plexus chakra.
Tratak Candle Gazing. The candle flame represents the fire element associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra. Focusing on a candle flame brings forth a peaceful, calm, meditative state.
